All-gear drive
Baroness walk‑behind greens mowers use a traditional all‑gear drive that delivers full power with no slippage between the drum and reel. This system is more durable than belt or chain drives, giving operators reliable performance and a consistent, balanced cut.
Cut quality
The reel cutter is made from a proprietary steel blend using techniques similar to Japanese blade‑making, giving it exceptional hardness and durability. The hardened reel and bedknife resist wear, reduce countering, and maintain precise mating surfaces for longer life. Crafted through a detailed 16‑step process, these components deliver a clean, smooth cut that helps create high‑quality greens.
Independent Grass Catcher Arm (IGCA)
IGCA keeps the mower’s cutting height consistent as the grass catcher fills or empties. By supporting the catcher on its own roller and arm, its weight doesn’t affect the cutting head, ensuring a steady height of cut from start to finish. It also prevents handle pressure–pushing, pulling, or leaning–from altering the cutting height, helping deliver a uniform cut across the green.
FOC (clip pitch)
This system lets the operator switch the reel between high‑clip and low‑clip modes to suit turf conditions. High clip produces a finer cut and a smoother finish, while low clip delivers a standard clip rate that helps manage stress during heavier growth or summer conditions.
