Product Features
Engine
The V3800DI-T engine powers the M96 tractor, equipped with Kubota’s revolutionary center-direct injection system (E-CDIS) . The E-CDIS engines offer a unique combination of more power, durability and better fuel efficiency, so you’ll be able to get the job done quicker and more efficiently while minding your budget. These engines also boast lower noise levels, which equates to less stress and fatigue after long work days. This hearty diesel engine employs a reliable 4-valve, center-direct injection system to achieve greater towing power. Combine this with the V3800DI-T’s turbo charger and you have all the power you’ll ever need, especially in the low rpm range, to perform heavy-duty tasks and during operations requiring sure-footed traction.
Transmission
"Swing Shift" with creep speeds give you access to a total of 24 speeds! The synchronised main shift's "H" pattern provides the first 4 speeds. Swing Shift adds four more speeds by actuating the electric-over-hydraulic high/low synchronised range shift, giving you access to a total of 8 speeds in each range, all controlled by a single lever. Mounted to the left of the steering column, the shuttle lever’s fingertip control makes it possible to shift smoothly from forward to reverse without using the clutch or stopping the tractor. A front and rear axle mechanical differential lock makes the M96S well adapted to demanding horticultural row crops.
The Driver's Seat
Every control element of the M96 operator's station is intuitive, ergonomic and robust. Excellent visibility towards the front axle, rear linkage and around the tractor ensure safe and precise operation, particularly in horticultural operations where this tractor is at home. The instrument panel makes viewing the vital functions of the tractor clear and easy. The LCD readout displays travel speed, PTO revolutions and hour meter information digitally. Illuminated analog indicators include a large tachometer, temperature gauge and fuel gauge. A battery warning light, indicator lights for 4WD engagement, PTO and oil pressure complete the straightforward control panel.
Hydraulics & PTO
The open centre hydraulic system provides 65 litres/min dedicated to remotes and linkage, and a further 48.9 l/min for power steering and lubrication. One remote valve is standard equipment and a further two valves can be added as an option. Flow control is also available. The Category II 3-point hitch accepts a variety of rear- mounted implements. The hitch's telescopic stabilisers and lower link ends simplify hook-up and adjustments. The hitch has a capacity of 2100 kg at 610mm behind balls and the optional dual assist cylinders raise the capacity to 3400 kg. The hydraulic PTO clutch allows you to engage the standard 540 rpm implement drive system smoothly, which helps reduce operator fatigue. And because the PTO is independent, you don’t have to stop the tractor to engage or disengage the PTO, saving you time when operating implements. An optional dual PTO kit with 540/1000rpm output caters for all possible implement requirements.
